What are you doing the rest of your life？It is a meaningful subject what I like to look into. I am more willing to think about how I will live in the future especially after some dissatisfaction.

A weekend afternoon when I was a freshman in Chengdu, I was shopping for music tape in a video store, at that time there was no smart phone and mobile network, so WALKMAN which was originally used to learn English that popular to listen music in campus. The pirated music tapes were sold by street vendors at the college gate was ten yuan per box, also there were cheaper ones, usually the popular songs were more expensive than the old songs. Under the influence of roommates afterwards, I realized that shopping should buy less and superior quality although we are poor students, so I saved some living expenses every month and went to the video store to buy genuine tapes, a box of thirty or forty yuan.

Every time in the video store, I choose carefully for a long time, all afternoon that day, and finally selected a jazz compilation, the first song’s name was meaningful that was “What are you doing the rest of your life”, the jazz melody of prelude strings flow out slowly as if brought me into the innocence of the early last century, the collision between the harp and the piano reflected the elegant scenes of life, the violin runs as narrative through the whole song.

It is a story of a pair of lovers and full of affection in every note of singing, a few words reflecting the love from childhood to the twilight years, I feels like a lifetime after listening with Laura Fygi’s magnetic voice.

I can’t extricate myself from loving you, what I should do for the rest of my life is to use all my strength to love you.
